Guitar Workout FAQ

What is a guitar workout?

A guitar workout is focused, repeatable practice built around a specific skill. Instead of only learning what to play, you train the movement, timing, control and consistency needed to perform it more reliably.

How does Guitar Workout Club work?

Choose what you want to train, press play and follow the workout from beginning to end. Repeat the same material when needed, increase the challenge gradually and keep building your playing over time.

Which guitar workout should I start with?

Start with the area that matches what you want to improve today. Choose Warmups for coordination, Chords for changes and progressions, Scales for fretboard control, Rhythm for timing and groove, or Jamtracks for musical practice.

Are these guitar workouts only for beginners?

No. The same skills can be trained at different levels of difficulty. Beginners can build basic control and consistency, while experienced players can use higher tempos and more demanding material to sharpen precision, timing and fluency.

How often should I do guitar workouts?

Regular focused practice works best. You do not need to complete every collection each day. Choose a few areas that support your current goals and return to them consistently.

Do I need to follow the collections in order?

No. The collections are designed to be used independently or combined. You can warm up first, focus on one technical area, work on rhythm and then finish with a jamtrack — or simply train the one thing you need that day.

Created by a Guitar Coach

Built for Practice, Not More Theory

Guitar Workout Club was created by Wouter Baustein, guitarist, music producer and guitar coach with more than 25 years of teaching and coaching experience.

After decades of working with guitarists at different levels, one problem kept coming back: players often know what they should practise, but struggle to turn that knowledge into consistent, repeatable playing.

Guitar Workout Club was built around a simple training principle:

Play. Train. Progress.

The workouts give you a clear focus and something you can immediately play along with. Train coordination, chords, scales, rhythm, timing and technique, then bring those skills into a musical context with backing tracks and jamtracks. Repeat the material, increase the challenge and keep developing your playing over time.

Designed from real teaching experience. Built for actual practice.
